BOWLING OPENS SEASON AT WARRIOR CLASSIC

Bowling Opens Season At Warrior Classic
Boys Bowling traveled to Oak Mountain Lanes November 2nd to compete at the Warrior Classic. After 2 traditional games they qualified 9th in seeding. After dropping their first baker game 163-160, they bounced back to win the next two games 138-112 and 169-124 in the best of three series. Top seeded Vestavia eventually eliminated the Spartans off of a last frame strike.

Neal Wellman, Truman Lee, Read Walton, Hunt Lyman and Frederic Maldia all got the start for the Spartans. Blake Cook and Charlie Wellman came in as alternates.

Frederic Maldia lead the way in the traditional games rolling 297 over the two games. Truman Lee backed him up with 264 over two games. Truman Lee had 10 strikes and 8 spares. Frederic Maldia had 8 strikes along with 14 spares. Read Walton and Hunt Lyman both had 8 strikes as well.

They face Mortimer Jordan in their first region match of the year November 3rd at Bowlero Riverview at 4 p.m.
