Kelby O'Neill
Coach O’Neill was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He
graduated from Huffman High School in 1995. O’Neill received a
baseball scholarship to Jefferson State Community College. While
playing at Jeff State, the team won the regional championship in 1997
where O’Neill was named to the All-Tournament Team. That same
year, Jeff State finished third in the World Series where O’Neill was
also named to the All-Tournament Team.
After two years at Jeff State, O’Neill signed a baseball scholarship
with Samford University where he finished his baseball career and
graduated in 2000. O’Neill received a Bachelor of Science degree in
physical education.
He currently teaches physical education at Crestline Elementary
School and coaches football at Mountain Brook Junior High and
baseball at Mountain Brook High School. Coach O’Neill has been
with the Mountain Brook program for the past twelve years.
He is married to the former Bradley Bixler of Mobile and is the proud
father of James Harrington and Caroline Lindsay
