Coach Davis is a native of Elkhart, Indiana.

Played basketball at Concord High School.  Received a full-ride basketball scholarship to Samford University where he played from 1994-1998.  Graduated from Samford with a degree in Physical Education in 1999.  Graduated from University of Montevallo in 2005 with a Masters Degree in Kinesiology.  Coached at Vestavia Hills for 9 years from 1999-2008.  Began teaching and coaching in the Mountain Brook system in 2008. Took over as varsity head boys basketball coach in 2020-21.  Won his first state championship as a head coach in his first season.

Married to Ashley Davis and has 3 kids Ty, Trey, and Avery
